Debora Spar, Barnard President, Says Women Can’t Have It All — And Shouldn’t Even Try

This is an interview with Debora Spar, who recently wrote Wonder Women: Sex, Power, and the Quest for Perfection.  She presents interesting ideas about women in the workplace, particularly relevant after hearing and reading Hanna Rosin’s take on the rise of women.  The article describes Spar’s intention to “[call] on all women to “kill the myths” that make them feel inadequate.”  The interview discusses Spar’s personal life and experiences as a woman in a powerful position, as well as the gender roles she plays in to and how she manages everything with a job and a family.
